I told Byron I was going to buy hair.

He chuckled and kept at his work. “Again?

I calculated the time across the ocean. Seventy

minutes before his lunch break. I could make that.

After the first hour of histrionics, weeping,

confessing that she was the one who’d messed

with our doors and pictures at the beach house, and

most of her life story, it wasn’t hard to talk

SexxyBabee out of her clothing. She was extremely

eager to start stripping, as a matter of fact, until I

explained to her that I wasn’t getting her out of

them for my pleasure. I bought her a pair of denims

and a long carwash tee and coaxed her into them.

There was a posing stand next to the women’s

clothes, so I sat down and got to work.

I was sorry about what I’d done and what she’d

done to get back at me, but with her admission of

breaking into our house went any chance of her

ever making friends with Byron. He took a dim

view of stalking.

I told her to scale down her tits by a degree of

ten until I said stop, and ditto her ass. When she

stopped looking like a sideshow attraction, I talked

her into a more modest hairstyle. It was a lot

harder to do than the clothes. With Sexxy, it was

all about flash and attraction: only the biggest and

shiniest would do. I explained to her the meaning

of blingtard and told her the hair made her head

look like a pony’s ass. I picked out a Dark Phoenix

hairdo and low Huntress boots and talked her into

adjusting the whole thing down until I was

convinced I had something I could work with. I

dropped some chips on a new skin for her, a fresh-

looking style from Bubbles. The skin wasn’t

expensive or show-stopping, but she wouldn’t get

made fun of, at least.

“You’re looking nice,” I told her.

She stepped off the posing stand and did a

pirouette. “I thought you said I looked like a

pony’s ass.”

“I said the hair looked like a pony’s ass!”

She laughed. “Okay, baby, whatever you say.”

“Your animations are okay, but you might want

to change out that jiggle walk for something a little

more sedate.”

“I don’t want to look sedated.”

“Sedate. It means less flashy, more classy.”

“No one will look at me if I walk like a boy.”

“Gay men will.”

I knew it was a mistake as soon as I said it, but I

couldn’t be on my guard all the time like Byron

was. It was exhausting. I hadn’t meant anything by

it, but as soon as she began composing, I knew

we’d reached that impasse I’d been hoping to

avoid for a little while.

She stepped as close to me as the physics engine

could possibly allow without being on the other

side of me.

“You’re really good to me. Do you want to get

out of here, maybe go back to my place? I promise

I’ll make it fun.
